Connecticut Aerial Yoga offers authentic yoga with the support of a soft, aerial fabric hammock to explore, refine, and advance traditional asana, both in the air and on the ground. Aerial yoga classes flow between floor and aerial postures promoting strength, power, freedom, relaxation, and grace. Aerial yoga works in partnership with gravity to calm the nervous system, improve postural alignment, build strength, and increase flexibility. Aerial yoga offers user-friendly postures that benefit the novice and experienced, the sedentary and athletic, the young and the old. With the fabric hammock, yoga postures are “customized” to fit a wide variety of body types resulting in a revitalized and nourishing yoga practice for all. CAY also offers aerial arts classes in sling acrobatics and dance trapeze.
