Netflix in Your Neighborhood allows users to search for filming locations by film or series title, or by searching an area of the state. Set locations are highlighted in Albuquerque, Moriarty, Los Lunas, Galisteo, Santa Fe, Bernalillo, Sandia Park and Chama, while also featuring directions to these spots. Netflix in Your Neighborhood also highlights tourist attractions and hidden gems near filming locations. Some locations on New Mexico’s site include the Aspen Vista Hiking Trail in the Santa Fe National Forest, the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center in Albuquerque, and Tomé Hill in Los Lunas. The website will be updated as new TV series and films are filmed in the state.

“New Mexico provides an iconic backdrop for our films and series that are watched by our hundreds of millions of members around the world,” said Nick Maniatis, Director of Studio and Production Affairs at Netflix. “We know that falling in love with a show can also mean falling in love with a place, so we built this website to make it easier for our fans to find and visit the beautiful New Mexico locations we use every day.”

The New Mexico-dedicated site is the most recent example of the company’s commitment to the state. From 2019-2021, Netflix spent more than $250 million on local production expenditures in New Mexico and the company is committed to an additional $1 billion in production spending over the next decade. More than 5,000 cast and crew jobs have been created for New Mexico residents during this time.

The New Mexico Film Office issued a statement: “Our long-term partnership with Netflix is one of the cornerstones of our state’s thriving film industry, and Netflix in Your Neighborhood is an amazing way to showcase New Mexico’s uniqueness and diversity for films and series coming to life on-screen. Netflix in Your Neighborhood will not only spark pride among our local communities, but also will market New Mexico to the rest of the world in a fun, engaging and interactive way – it is an honor to be the first U.S- featured location for this project.”

“By offering and promoting new visitor self-guided experiences, like this Netflix-produced film and television location map, there is potential to encourage locals and visitors alike to explore communities throughout the Land of Enchantment. As the film and television industry continues to grow under Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s leadership, we know that New Mexico is strategically positioned to attract investments in film and television-themed attractions, entertainment venues and other tourism-related businesses. Moreover, there are entrepreneurial opportunities for New Mexicans to seize now by building new film and television visitor experiences that New Mexico Tourism Department can promote today,” said Jen Paul Schroer, Cabinet Secretary for the New Mexico Tourism Department.
