A Way to Give Back To Your Community All Year Long

Tis the season to be jolly! It is also the season when we give and reflect the most. The holidays are a time to be grateful for what we have and what we can give. But what if we could give all year long to our community in different ways? Here at Albuquerque City Lifestyle our mission is to always give back to the community that supports us. New Years is right around the corner and this year we hope you take a moment each month to support the non-profits on this list or the ones that are near to your heart.

1. Metro Police Athletic League

Their Mission:

  • PAL is a recreation-oriented juvenile crime prevention program that relies heavily upon athletics and recreational activities to create and cement the bond between the police officers and the kid o­n the street. PAL is based o­n the strong belief that children, if they are reached early enough, can develop a strong, positive attitude towards police officers in their journey through life towards the goal of adulthood and good citizenship.

2. Veterans Integration Center (VIC)

Their Mission:

  • The VIC has helped over 12,000 families, both Veteran and non-Veteran, with essential needs and services. Although the mission is to support literally and at-risk homeless Veteran families. Being a resource for all Veteran families throughout New Mexico and helping them obtain resources and support from any agency, program or organization that is available to honor their service and sacrifice for our great nation.

Their Mission:

  • Our organization works with First Time Homebuyers by Counseling and assisting them with mortgage reduction funds to meet the gap to access affordable housing. We do own three tax credit rental properties in Santa Fe that are managed by an on-site company that offers social services for its residents.

4. International Folk Art Alliance

5. Epilepsy Research Association

  • Established in 2015, the Epilepsy Research Association is committed to devoting its energy to advocating for epilepsy research through creative charities and fundraisers and giving back to the communities we encounter.

6. Nicodemus Wilderness Project

8. Native Forward Scholars Fund

  • Global Give-A-Book's mission was founded on the idea that books should be available to children despite financial standing. At GGAB we believe that access to new, award-winning, books should not be limited to any one person or people. In collaboration with local food banks and food pantries, GGAB created a direct link to the children who can most benefit from our programs. Over 9,055 award-winning books were distributed in every box of food to families!
