Presenting "The Green Hills Plantation" by Americano Lounge

A mash-up of 1930s New York and Northern Europe, Americano Lounge serves craft coffee and craft cocktails built on an obsession for quality.

Cody Pellerin, a former touring musician turned financial advisor, founded the lounge after spending 345 days a year on the road for a decade-plus. His travels allowed him to visit coffee shops and bars in cities of the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and Mexico. His personal search for top-quality coffee and cocktails culminated with the launch of Americano Lounge.

Cody was kind enough to create a new and unique cocktail especially for Green Hills Lifestyle, with a fun play on the magazine's distribution of exclusively Green Hills and Belle Meade. He happily will make it for you there as well!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces Bellmeade Bourbon
  • 1/2 ounce Green Chartreuse
  • 1/2 ounce Plantation OFTD
  • 1/2 ounce Creme de Violette
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/4 ounce cane syrup
  • 1 egg white

Method

1. Combine first six ingredients in large side of cocktail shaker.

2. Fill small side of shaker to top with ice.

3. Shake until cocktail shaker is frosted (15-20 seconds).

4. Pour liquid into small side of shaker; strain out ice.

5. Crack egg, using only white; pour in large side of shaker.

6. Pour liquid from small side of shaker into large side of shaker. Seal. Vigorously shake for 30 seconds.

7. Pour and strain into coupe glass.

8.  Using a dropper, drop 5-7 drops of bitters on drink top.
