Allied Arts was originally formed in 1971 as a way for the community to support and engage with central Oklahoma’s cultural groups. Today, their mission remains the same: to Enrich Lives Through Advancement of the Arts. Donating to Allied Arts helps ensure that a variety of local arts organizations have the tools and resources they need to persevere and offer quality programming to the public.

Allied Arts does more than raise money for the arts. They promote arts education, advocate on organization’s behalf and raise awareness of the impact of the arts in their schools, communities and state. They also provide fundraising, technical and organizational management support to help keep their member agencies in strong financial and operating standing.
As a vital umbrella organization tied to countless local nonprofit arts organizations, this has certainly been a challenging time for Allied Arts during this unprecedented chapter. In response to the economic impact of COVID-19 on central Oklahoma’s cultural community, Allied Arts has launched an Emergency Relief Fund to help arts nonprofits navigate through this uncertain time.
Arts nonprofits in particular have been adversely affected by COVID-19 as restrictions are in place limiting social gatherings. As such, their fundraising events have been cancelled; exhibits and artist talks have closed; and performances have been postponed indefinitely. The immediate relief grants received through the Allied Arts Emergency Relief Fund will enable central Oklahoma’s arts organizations to help retain core functions and staff, make up for financial losses and cover unexpected expenses.
