Alternative Medicines Taking The Spotlight

Plant Street Acupuncture has been educating and helping patients learn how to take ownership of their health in Winter Garden for more than 8 years. Acupuncture helps you lower stress, alleviate anxiety, rejuvenate body, mind and spirit. Many actively use acupuncture for a series of health and wellness challenges as well as for pain management.

Founded by Kimberly Odishoo, she shares, “We partner with our clients to inspire and empower each person to reach optimal health. We help you live an extraordinary life by nourishing and healing yourself from the inside out. Our passion lies with the body’s natural ability to heal itself with the help of that provided by Acupuncture, Homeopathy, Herbs, and Tui Na Chinese Massage. We prefer the use of gentle and natural methods to correct imbalance before seeking drugs or surgery.” Some of their popular services include Chinese Herbal Medicine, Moxibustion, Cupping, Gua Sha, Acupoint Injection Therapy, Homeopathic Injections, Lab Tests, Ultrasound Therapy, EMS/TENS, and Kinesio Taping.

Kimberly Odishoo has a Master of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine, and a Bachelor of Professional Health Studies as well as certifications in Acupoint Injection, Advanced Kinesio Taping, Advanced Cupping Methods and Functional Blood Chemistry.

Acupuncture has become popular and accepted in Western medicine as it can be used to treat a variety of ailments without prescription drugs. Plant Street Acupuncture has been at the forefront of providing prevention techniques for health and wellness challenges. By strengthening the immune system with acupuncture, supplements, and Chinese herbal therapy, their patients seek help to restore balance, ease stress and anxiety as well as to enhance their immune systems. They welcome the opportunity to help you during any phase of your care with an invitation for you to give them a try.

Odishoo notes, “Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine have been around for thousands of years and are recognized by the World Health Organization to treat a complete range of medical problems. A common question we get asked is ‘Do Acupuncture needles hurt?’ The flexible needles are about ten times smaller in size than a hypodermic needle. The treatment needles only stay in for about 15 to 30 minutes, depending upon the modalities we are performing.”

Plant Street Acupuncture has 3 Acupuncture Physicians with Dr. Kimberly Odishoo, Dr. Steve Moreau, and Dr. Molly McNeel. They are supported by administrative assistants. In Florida, Acupuncture Physicians graduate with a Bachelor of Health Science and a Masters of Oriental Medicine which is equivalent to a Physician Assistant or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner training. Florida Acupuncture Physicians are Primary Care providers. Acupuncturists often receive referrals from many of traditional medical and naturopathic professionals due to success with treating various conditions such as Endocrine, Autoimmune, Fertility, Gastrointestinal, Gynecological, Respiratory, and many general conditions including Insomnia, Depression, Anxiety, Headaches, Migraines, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Sports, Stress and all kinds of pain.
