For a unique experience in a casual, urban atmosphere, check out Tilted Axes, West Chester's indoor playground. Several ax types and professional instructors make Tilted Axes the best place to awaken your inner warrior. The size of the group doesn't matter; whether it is a date or team-building, everyone can learn the basics of ax-throwing. Bring closed-toe shoes and a great attitude!
Unlike other ax-throwing venues, Tilted Axes offers plenty of other amenities, including televisions, music, a dance floor, pool tables and video games.
Owner Jason is a Chester County native with roots in West Chester.
“To have so many memories in this great town and now to be opening our own business here is amazing,” he says. “I am just happy to give West Chester a place where friends can go out, have fun and not worry about spending a lot of money.”
When he is not working, Jason loves spending time with his wife, Angela, and their four daughters.
The competitive aspect of ax-throwing is also a great way to kick off any bachelor or bachelorette party since it gets everybody engaged, gets the friendly one-upping going, and gets the adrenaline pumping. There’s a reason why competitive activities are so often used in team-building exercises: because it gets everyone invested in the mutual activity.
Anything but a typical office party, Tilted Axes is redefining corporate and team-building events with an extra edge. Stepping outside of the ordinary (and sometimes bland) desk and florescent lighting environment, Tilted Axes provides an informal, fun-fueled place where your team or clients can really let loose and enjoy themselves. There’s no better way to bring people together than with this thrilling activity. Whether young or old, fit or not-so-fit, ax-throwing is accessible to every skill. Tilted Axes has hosted events for large and small businesses, including Wells Fargo, Station Tap Room, QVC, Levante, Vanguard, Verizon and more.
For your ax-throwing event, you’ll get a private lane (or lanes depending on group size) to practice and throw. You’ll also have an ax-throwing coach who will instruct your team on how to throw an ax as well as host games.
Tilted Axes is BYOB. An ice machine and coolers are available for your use. Bring your own food or order from local businesses that deliver. Several catering options are available.
Ax-throwing sessions typically last for two hours. Tilted Axes has never had anyone injured in any way. They are very strict in making sure that everyone is throwing the axes in a safe manner while following all rules and safety guidelines presented.
