The Grace Effect Continues

New Purpose-Driven Fashion Brand Features Local Grace-ful Model With Down Syndrome

Alivia, a new social impact womenswear brand, was founded by New York designer Jovana Mirabile and her husband, Brandon Mullins. The campaign to launch the line bears a face familiar to St. Louis:  24-year-old Wildwood resident Grace Strobel.

Grace, who was the cover model for Chesterfield Lifestyle in February 2019, was born with Down Syndrome, but has never let that stop her achievements, and more recently her goal to further a modeling career.

After Jovana volunteered at the Center For All Abilities, a New York-based nonprofit that serves individuals with disabilities, she says she noticed the expressions and designs made there were incredible. She decided to start a clothing line from that artwork.

"We couldn’t be more proud to have such an inspirational woman as Grace to represent our brand,” Jovana confirms.

With every purchase, Alivia donates 10% of the sale price to the creator's nonprofit art therapy program. Every garment includes a scannable tag allowing wearers to see, experience and share the human story behind their clothes—and the direct impact they've made.
