If you ever went to camp when you were a child, you probably know the excitement and lifetime memories that can remain from that experience.
The National TTT Society has sent deserving girls to summer camp since forming in 1911. Fifteen states from Washington, DC to California have National TTT chapters. Our goal is to increase the membership and chapters in Colorado to make it possible to send more girls to camp.
One of our Westminster TTT chapter members went to a TTT camp, in another state, 62 years ago. To this day she is still thankful of her experiences, particularly when she received a new pair of tennis shoes provided by TTT.
One of our most memorable experiences was sending a girl who had hearing loss to our YMCA camp and providing her with a full time interpreter. She was able, along with the other campers, to swim, horseback ride, participate in crafts and go on overnight camp out with camp song and s’mores.
We have sent many girls to camp with behavioral, economic, social, and family difficulties. It is amazing and rewarding to see the difference a complete camp experience can have on these young ladies.
