Casino Mine Ranch

From Gold Mine to Red and White Wine

Not far from Folsom and nestled in California's picturesque Sierra Foothills, Casino Mine Ranch has a story steeped in Gold Rush lore. Named in 1936 by founder, Simone Vanophem Shaw, the ranch echoes the tales of fortune seekers from yesteryears. What once buzzed with gold mining now thrives as a sprawling estate, famed for its vineyards and breathtaking vistas.

Today, Casino Mine Ranch honors its past while embracing a vibrant future in winemaking and hospitality. The current owners are fourth-generation California brothers, Jim and Rich Merryman, who invite you to join them for an experience to taste their flagship wines, learn more about the family’s rich history in gold country, and soak in the breathtaking views of picturesque Amador County. Guests may even catch a glimpse of the resident egret named Clyde.

The wine-tasting space is beautifully decorated and has simple and beautiful decor inside and out, with a lovely pathway that brings you to a casual seating area where you can throw some cornhole or grab your beverages from the vintage wine-red truck. You can pick from their selection of cheese and crackers and they will put together a tasty charcuterie board to enjoy with your tasting. Take a drive through the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and stop for a bit at Casino Mine Ranch. Thursday through Monday 11:00 am to 4:30 pm at 10690 Shenandoah Road, Plymouth. CasinoMineRanch.com
