Tip 1: ORGANIZE BY COLOR

Simplify your morning and create a visually pleasing experience in your closet by color-coordinating your clothes. Easily recreate this eye catching closet in just a few steps. Step 1: Empty and clean your closet. Step 2: Sort and purge unwanted clothes. Step 3: Rehang by Color. Arrange your clothes in order from light to dark, keeping in mind how you wear clothes. If you find yourself wearing blue more often than not, then consider moving this color group closer to the front of the line to make it easy to grab and go.

Tip 2: VISUALIZE YOUR NEW STORAGE SOLUTION

If you are thinking about a brand new storage solution or closet then definitely check out the free resources that abound online. Two of my favorites are the Rubbermaid Storage Planner (shelving.rubbermaid.com) and The Container Store Design Center (containerstore.com/design-center). Both tools allow you to customize a solution that works for you.

Tip 3: GO MONOCHROMATIC WITH STORAGE

Like the white solution shown here, I suggest you go monochromatic (choose a single color) for all your storage baskets. Monotone backgrounds allow all the things you are looking for to stand out against the uniform color palette - making it easier for you to find what you seek and saving you time in the process.
