In addition to shopping for amazing deals at the Charlotte Region ReStores, you can donate your no longer needed new and gently used furniture, appliances, home decor and building materials. Your purchases and donations to the Charlotte Region ReStores help local families build strength and stability through affordable homeownership.
As a fundraising arm of Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region, proceeds from the six Charlotte Region ReStores and online store are used to help build and repair homes for hard-working families in our community.
Restore, together with the community, is building self-reliance through providing shelter here in the Charlotte region.
What is Restore?
Back in the 1990s, the first Charlotte Region ReStore opened with the mission of selling “good stuff at good prices for a good cause.” More than 20 years and 5 additional stores later, the Charlotte Region ReStores are still selling new and gently-used furniture, appliances, home décor, home improvement and building materials at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds from sales have helped build and repair well over 200 homes.
Donate and Volunteer
You can give new life to your old stuff when you donate to the ReStore. All ReStore locations have drop-off areas with staff and volunteers available to assist with unloading items. ReStore also accepts books, DVD's, vinyl records and VHS tapes. For locations, more information and scheduling FREE pick up for large items visit cltregionrestore.org/donation or call their Donation Hotline at 704/392-4495. Not only will you be making a difference locally, you’ll make a difference globally by preventing household items with plenty of life left from needlessly going to waste in a landfill. Your donated time as a volunteer is welcome too.
Deconstruction - What Is This?
Deconstruction (Decon) is a service provided by the Habitat Charlotte Region ReStores for carefully removing kitchen cabinets, countertops and appliances prior to a remodel. The Deconstruction team completes the removal at no charge with the donation of items to the Charlotte Region ReStores. Decon also helps prevent thousands of pounds of removed items from ending up in a landfill. Because there are no charges and hundreds of dollars are saved by homeowners in contractor fees, ReStore kindly asks for donations to Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region for this service. Schedule a consultation appointment at cltregionrestore.org/deconstruction and get started today.
