Globally influenced and handmade in Brooklyn N.Y., MODO frames has a mission. The collection is designed with sleek architecture influences and inspiration from the company's current roots of New York, Milan and Stockholm. The use of the purest material and innovative technologies combine to deliver a functional and fashionable collection.

The company founded in 1990 has far-reaching impact with give-back programs and a pursuit for global benefits in its purpose. The ECO Recycled line of sunglasses is made of 95 percent recycled materials. ECO's bio-based frames are unique because they are made with 63 percent castor seeds, making them sustainable while lightweight and comfortable. Customers are encouraged to reuse ECO’s packaging and donate their unwanted eyewear to people in need. In 2009, the company launched ONE FRAME – ONE TREE in partnership with the NGO Trees for the Future. Since then, ECO has donated and planted a tree for every frame sold. So far, ECO has planted more than 1.5 million trees.

The MODO eyewear collection in 2016 launched the Buy a Frame – Help a Child See program in collaboration with Seva Foundation. Today they have helped more than 1 million children in India to see by offering free vision screenings, prescription glasses and corrective treatments. They are proud to be an eyewear industry leader in social responsibility.

“We have a responsibility to leave the world a better place than how we found it. Together with Trees for the Future, ONE FRAME – ONE TREE is making a positive impact not only on the environment, but for the people.”

-Alessandro Lanaro, CEO of MODO
