Restore Hyper Wellness in Laguna Niguel brings state-of-the-art treatments to help your body to perform its very best

Restore Hyper Wellness, headquartered in Austin, TX, recently opened its first California facility in Ocean Ranch Village, right here in Laguna Niguel.  Classified as an essential business, the facility has been able to remain open and perform its “essential wellness” services despite of the COVID-19 lock down.  The response has been overwhelming.

We had a chance to tour the facility with Lucky De Jesus, the owner of FitBody Boot Camp, Laguna Niguel. Lucky, a member of Restore, says the wellness treatments Restore provides are a great compliment to his regular training program.

And Lucky is not alone. In fact, dozens of elite athletes—including some well-known celebrity sports stars we cannot name—frequent Restore on a regular basis. That’s because services provided by Restore greatly enhance sports performance, pain management, recovery, and overall wellness.

The Restore facility provides a wide variety of modalities, ten in fact, including their signature treatment, Cryotherapy.  Other services include Normatec Compression Therapy, IV Drips, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Infrared Sauna, Stretch Base, PBM “Red Light” Therapy, and Cryoskin.

Visitors can sign up for individual services as needed; however, the monthly membership packages offered are definitely the best value. Optimizing your health is Restore’s top priority—and they do not disappoint.

During our visit, we had the opportunity to observe as Lucky engaged in some of the treatments.  Our gracious host was Jamie Cleaver, the facility’s manager, and Jackie. Xxxx, lead nurse. Here are a few of the treatments:

Cryotherapy

By now, you’ve probably heard of Cryotherapy—which literally means “cold therapy.”  This is a technique where the body is exposed to extremely cold temperatures (between negative 200–300°F) for up to 3 minutes.

Cryotherapy can be administered to the whole body, locally, even just to the face. According to Restore, the whole-body treatment reduces inflammation and releases endorphins that help alleviate pain, boost energy and metabolism, and increase the body’s natural healing abilities.

“Local Cryotherapy helps reduce pain and swelling in targeted areas such as the back, knee, or ankle joints along with increased mobility,” says Jamie. “Think of this treatment as an ice pack on steroids.”

Cryotherapy facials use pressurized liquid nitrogen vapors, stimulating the production of collagen and decreasing pore size. The facial also increases blood circulation to produce a tighter, more even skin tone.

IV DRIP

Many people drink far less water than their body needs. As a result, it’s been estimated that up to 75% of Americans are in a state of chronic dehydration. Proper hydration is essential for digestion, detoxification of the liver and kidneys, and waste removal.

Restore Hyper Wellness offers a comprehensive micronutrient test that allows their Registered Nurses to provide just the right “cocktail” IV Drip to suit your individual needs.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Restore’s Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy involves lying in a comfortable pressurized chamber while breathing 90%-95% pure oxygen. The increased pressure causes your cells, tissues, and fluids to hold up to 10 times more oxygen than normal. With more oxygen, cells can produce energy more effectively, and your body can traumatic brain injuries, help fight off cancer, and heal tissue that is slow to recover. It’s a relaxing way to ensure wellness and longevity.

PBM (Photobiomodulation) Therapy

PBM (Photobiomodulation) Therapy uses near infrared light to help manage inflammation and pain, aid recovery, and improve skin clarity by increasing energy at the cellular level. It has been shown to be highly effective for acute and chronic sports injuries, fibromyalgia, fatigue, neuropathy, arthritis pain, and more. PBM is used in thousands of clinics, hospitals and elite sports institutions in over 70 nations. Acute injuries and inflammation from muscle strains and sprains, cuts, bruises, burns, etc. typically show very rapid improvement.

Infrared Suana

Restore’s infrared sauna is similar to a traditional sauna, but it uses infrared light to heat you directly instead of heating the air. The result is a much more comfortable experience. Saunas help rid the body of toxins while cleansing the skin through excess sweating. This also increases circulation to facilitate better recovery and increased endurance. Saunas are an easy way to boost performance while relaxing; and these sessions will leave you feel completely rejuvenated.

Compression Therapy

The NormaTec Recovery System helps maximize recovery for both athletes and non-athletes. Using sequential pulse technology, NormaTec synergistically combines three distinct massage techniques to speed the body’s normal recovery process: pulsing compression, gradients, and distal release. Through these mechanisms, the NormaTec Recovery System maximizes circulation throughout the body to help you feel better, train harder, and recover faster.

Stretch Base®

There’s nothing like a good stretch!  Restore’s stretch technicians provide more than assisted stretching. They help customers understand their bodies, giving them an opportunity to unplug from their stressful day, and allowing them to quiet their minds. Stretch Base® uses techniques from PNF stretching, Thai bodywork, and assisted stretching so you can increase your flexibility while you relax.
