Every Dollar Advances the Fight Against Alzheimer's

And All Other Forms of Dementia

The number of Americans living with Alzheimer's is growing — and growing fast. More than six million Americans of all ages have Alzheimer's. With that number estimated to nearly triple by the year 2050, the Alzheimer’s Association works diligently to serve the 180,000 North Carolina residents living with the disease and the 356,000 family and friends who provide care to them.

The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other forms of dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection and maximizing quality care and support. The Association provides individual and family services, information and referral, education, support and advocacy across North Carolina.

The Alzheimer’s Association…

…provides care and support to all those facing Alzheimer’s.
…educates and raises awareness to grow understanding of the disease.
…drives research toward treatment, prevention and ultimately, a cure.
…advocates to improve the lives of all those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Alzheimer's disease is a global crisis with significant local impact. The Alzheimer's Association needs the community's help to rally around the Alzheimer’s cause, and ultimately, the fight to end Alzheimer’s.

Five Ways to Join the Fight

  • Make a year-end gift - Every donation helps to strengthen our efforts while moving us closer to our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other forms of dementia.

  • Leave a lasting legacy - There are many ways you can plan for the financial security of your loved ones and make a significant contribution in the fight against Alzheimer’s and all other forms of dementia.

  • Donate through AmazonSmile - Give to the Alzheimer’s Association while buying Amazon products — at no additional cost to you. When you shop with AmazonSmile, a portion of eligible purchases will automatically be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.

  • Donate a vehicle - If you’re thinking of trading or selling a car, truck, van, motorcycle, trailer or boat, consider donating your vehicle to the Alzheimer's Association.

  • Get involved - There are opportunities to engage with campaigns like Walk to End Alzheimer's®, Charlotte Memory Gala and The Longest Day®. Rally your friends, family and colleagues in the fight against Alzheimer's.

“Everyone can help in the fight to end Alzheimer's,” shares Katherine Lambert, CEO of the Alzheimer's Association - Western Carolina Chapter. “Join the cause by staying informed, making a thoughtful and impactful gift or by joining the ranks of our passionate volunteer-empowered movement."

Alzheimer’s is a progressive and fatal disease, which is devastating our families, our finances and our future. Every dollar you give benefits those affected by Alzheimer's disease. From face-to-face support and online education programs to promising worldwide research initiatives, your generosity makes a difference.
