Diana's work can be seen in galleries throughout the country, including JRB Art at The Elms in The Paseo Arts District.
For artist Diana J. Smith, the term "family portraits" has a slightly different meaning than one might assume. Her subjects have four legs. Born and raised in Oklahoma, Diana says she has always painted. With a bachelor's degree in fine arts from the University of Oklahoma, she has a background in business and graphic design. In 2008, Dog Gone Portraits was born, including commissioned pieces.
Diana has participated in many collaborative art shows, as well as a solo show in the Oklahoma Governor's Gallery.
Another of Diana's passions is offering her time and talent to local animal rescue organizations, including The Bella Foundation. The "12 Dog Houses of Christmas" is one of her favorite charitable events.
