Lake Kittamaqundi

Visit Lake Kittamaqundi, in Columbia Town Center. This family-friendly lake is in the heart of Columbia and is surrounded by a walking path encompassing its 27 acres. It’s a great place to bring the kids and walk the dog. The park offers easy access to restaurants, the mall and a Whole Foods. If you like spending time out on the lake, it features a boathouse, pier and launching ramp. Pack a picnic lunch and make an afternoon of it.

 Hysteria Brewery

Make it an adult outing to Hysteria Brewery. This brewery, tucked back in an industrial area of Columbia near Lost Ark Distillery (also worth the visit), features a pub style atmosphere and a variety of brews that won’t disappoint. From Blueberry Granola Sour to the beer of the season, Pumpkin Ale, there’s a beer that suits everyone’s palette. Try a flight and sample some of the best beer around while grabbing a bite from the food trucks that occasionally park nearby. See the website for food truck schedule and details.
