Hey Everyone! Do you love coffee or tea in the morning? I cant start my day without a good cup of coffee. All year long you will find me with a iced coffee of some kind in my hand.

Today I wanted to come share a sweet treat with you that I just recently discovered while enjoying a Bee’s Knee’s cocktail. Honey Simple Syrup! I am sure that people have been using this for a long time because it is yummy but I had never really thought about it until that night.

My favorite way to use this simple syrup is in my coffee as an alternative to sugar and other flavored syrups. Now don’t get me wrong I will always love flavored syrups in my coffee but this allows me to use something different. It is a great alternative if I don’t have any flavors on hand. The recipe for it is very easy, you mix two parts honey to one part warm water. We used a microwave safe measuring cup and measured 2 cups of honey into 1 cup warmed water. After it cooled we put it a squeeze bottle for easy use.

A fun iced coffee recipe that I have been loving is honey cinnamon. You brew your coffee, add cream or milk of any kind , a few squeezes of honey simple syrup and top it with a dash or two of cinnamon. If you make this and you like it let me know!
