Summer’s here, and for many of us, that means an abundance in our garden. In our garden, that means mint—so why not make something delicious from all that goodness? From sweet tea to mint juleps to fruit salad and more, this simple syrup smells amazing and tastes even better!

Mint Syrup

A three-ingredient recipe that will change the flavor of your summer? Yes, please! Water, sugar and fresh mint leaves will make this a staple in your recipe repertoire.

  • handful of fresh mint leaves – only leaves, without the stems
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

1. In a small pan, combine all the ingredients.

2. Slowly bring to a boil, while mixing, to allow for the sugar to melt.

Step 3: Simmer for a couple of minutes. Turn off the heat, remove the pot from the stove and let the syrup steep for 30 minutes.

Step 4: Strain the mixture into a sterilized glass container.

Step 5: Keep in the refrigerator and use it in drinks, desserts and other dishes. It lasts for a month.

Want to make a big batch and share it with your friends? Grab some chalkboard stickers and a white pen and create some fun custom labels. A bottle of mint simple syrup would also make a great hostess gift or party favor!
