When a heat wave hits, the best way to cool off is to sip a refreshing cocktail. We asked our social media followers where to find their favorite summer drinks in KC, and you all made your opinions known! Take a look at our audience's top picks for summer drinks below.

If you missed our recent survey, be sure to follow us on Instagram at @CLKansasCity and Facebook at @CLKansasCity.

Orange Creamsicle Latte – Monarch Coffee

Indulge your inner child with a more grown-up (and caffeinated!) version of a classic Orange Dreamsicle ice cream bar with Monarch Coffee's Orange Dreamsicle Latte. This summertime special features Emissary espresso floated on milk with vanilla-orange simple syrup and can be served hot or cold—but we already know we're ordering ours cold to beat the heat!

Margarita – K-Macho's Mexican Grill & Cantina

Margaritas are the official cocktail of the summer, and K-Macho's serves a variety of them—from the house marg (served on the rocks or frozen with Lunazul Reposado Tequila, K-Macho's margarita mix, lime juice, agave nectar and triple sec) to frozen flavored margaritas (strawberry, mango, peach, raspberry or watermelon) to top shelf margs with your choice of premium tequila. On Thursdays, K-Macho's has 12-ounce lime margaritas for $2.99 all day!

Smokin' Paloma – Red Bridge Barrio

If you're a fan of grapefruit, you'll love Red Bridge Barrio's take on a Paloma. The Smokin' Paloma features Vida Mezcal, grapefruit, lime and agave for a smoky, tart and refreshing cocktail. You'll want more than one of these—trust me!

Jade Mule – Rye

This cocktail from Rye is probably the fanciest Moscow Mule you've ever had! The Jade Mule has lime-thyme-infused vodka, Dolin Vermouth Blanc, Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur, Gosling's Ginger Beer and lime juice served in a classic copper mug. Be sure to snap a photo of this beautiful concoction before you take a sip!
