Starting in 2020 and working our way through 2021, it has truly been a fun, wild ride to build this magazine from the ground up. But, Scott and myself would not have been able to make this publication work without the talents and efforts of our beloved creators. Our talented writers and photographers have really made this publication the gem that it is, and we cannot thank them enough. So without further ado, let us introduce you to those talented people that really helped this magazine come together every month and bring us to our first anniversary!
Ashlee Ficklin - Ashlee loves being a Mom and having fun with whatever they do as a family. She likes to play board games and card games. Ashlee loves the outdoors and taking pictures whenever she can! Jennifer Maxfield - Jennifer has had a camera in her hand since she was 5 but started her photography business 5 years ago. She loves all things outdoors and loves our Western Slope. If you would like to schedule a session with Jennifer you can call or text her at 970-234-4060.
Amy Kappler - A Colorado native who has spent the majority of her life on the western slope. Her biggest passion is hiking and exploring as much of nature as she can, which led to her photography beginnings about eight years ago. Only in the last few years has she begun to turn her hobbies into a part-time profession, showcasing photos at the Raw Canvas tattoo studio, Copper Club Brewing, and now currently at Monumental Beer Works. Starting a website in 2020, she began to incorporate portrait photography into the natural landscape around her and now enjoys family sessions as much as nature shots. Amy graduated in May with a bachelor's in Healthy Lifestyles Coaching, so when she isn't climbing mountains, taking pictures, or freelance writing, she is developing a new career here in Grand Junction. In the meantime, she is also a server at the Ale House GJ, which keeps her active and engaged with her community.
Krista Wisner - Krista is a scented candle and herbal tea addict. She also loves historical fiction. Pair them together and it's heaven on earth. for her! She also enjoys bird watching, crocheting, hiking, paddleboarding, jeeping, camping, and pretty much anything outdoors.
Stacy Atkins - Stacy is a certified Spiritual Director and freelance writer living in Battlement Mesa. She enjoys spending time in nature as well as reading and writing. You can contact Stacy at: Stacey@SomethingDifferentMinistries.org

Within her practice, Dr. Schulte emphasizes the importance of thinking outside the clinical box and that the key to achieving true health and well-being is by addressing each aspect of our health mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
As an author and speaker, Dr. Schulte’s mission is to empower health care consumers to take charge of their health and free themselves from dependency on pharmaceutical medications, and to advocate for freedom of health choice.

She has such a love for this community as she is involved in numerous volunteer organizations and loves spending time outdoors with her friends, family, and pets. As a CMU Alumni, she is continuing her writing career venturing off from her blog into writing her first book.
Lisa "Moose" Kral - Lisa started Dancing In My Head Photography 10 years ago and there isn't anything she won't photograph! She currently lives in Palisade, Colorado with her husband and they spend weekends exploring picturesque small towns of the United States, focusing on Colorado. Lisa says her creative juices flow with the art of photography as she documents "the dance of life." Every picture represents a choreographed dance engaging the photographer, the camera, the subject, and ultimately, the audience. Lisa's photos have been exhibited from Illinois to Colorado and you can find them on many of Colorado’s social media sites, in local newspapers, newsletters, blogs, and more.
