Three Delicious Dishes from One Trip to the Store


Sharp Cheddar Slices

8 oz Shredded Cheddar



Cream cheese


Chicken breasts

Salsa Verde

Sour Cream

Tortilla chips

Spiral sliced ham

Brown Sugar


Dijon Mustard

Sharp Cheddar, Bacon, & Jalapeño Grilled Cheese

8 slices of sharp cheddar cheese

½ cup Shredded Cheddar

4 slices of Bacon

1-2 jalapenos, finely diced

1 bar cream cheese, softened


Salt & Pepper to taste

Garlic Powder or fresh diced garlic to taste

Cook bacon to desired crispness.  While the bacon is cooking, combine the cream cheese, jalapenos (1 or 2 depending on your desired spiciness level), shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt & pepper.

On one slice of bread, place one slice of sharp cheddar.  Then spread ¼ of the cream cheese mixture on top.  Add the two slices of bacon.  Top with a second slice of cheddar and the other piece of bread. 

Grill and eat!! 

Yield: 4 servings

Verde Cream Chicken

4-5 chicken breasts

½ cup salsa verde (adjust to taste)

¾ cup Sour cream (adjust to taste)

Shredded cheddar

Tortilla chips

Preheat oven to 350.

Place chicken breasts in a 9x13 baking dish.

Mix the salsa verde and sour cream together and pour on top of the chicken.  Bake for 30 minutes.  Pull out and top with cheese.  Bake another 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. You can always broil the cheese for some added crispiness.  

Serve with whole tortilla chips underneath or crushed tortilla chips on top.

Yield: 4-5 servings

Honey Glazed Ham

1 4-6 lb boneless spiral sliced ham

½ cup Honey

½ cup Brown Sugar

1 TBSP Dijon Mustard

¼ cup water

Layer slices of ham in the bottom of a crockpot.

In a saucepan, over medium-high heat, combine honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and water.  Heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved.  Pour glaze over the ham. 

Cover and cook on Low for 5-6 hours.  **3-4 times during the cook time, take a baster or large spoon, and pour some of the glaze over top of the ham.

Use the extra glaze from the crockpot to pour over the ham when serving.

Yield: Approximately 10-12 servings
