My Top 4 Workout Routines

Try a Variety of Activities + Intensity Levels

Let's face it, finding an exercise routine isn't easy. Luckily for you, I have tried just about every workout under the sun. We all have different preferences when it comes to our workouts, and I am all over the intensity spectrum. Below are some of my favorite workouts and what I love about them!

1. SWEAT App by Kayla Itsines (BBG)

I started using the SWEAT app when I took on a job that was 85% travel. This app was the best option for me, because I did not always have access to gym equipment while on the road. Thankfully, SWEAT has a workout plan that uses only body weight exercises, or ones that can be modified by using objects around the house (chairs, benches, your dog, etc).

There are different intensity levels and workout routines you can choose from, so there really is something perfect for every woman. When I am consistent with this program, I see results. SWEAT also includes diet tips, group discussions, and provides easy ways to document your progress!

2. Cycling Classes (Non-RPM)

These classes provide me with a safe space to clear my head, dream about and manifest my goals! I personally do not go to RPM cycling classes. They're simply not for me! I prefer classes that ride to the beat of the music. To give you a visual, picture a spin class in a night club. You are basically jamming out on your bike to FIRE playlists. I really really don't like cardio, and this is one of the few ways I get a healthy dose of it. If you are in the Kansas City area, I highly recommend hitting up Mojo. If you are located elsewhere, I recommend trying out going Soul Cycle as well. The expectation is that you leave your technology outside of the class, so that you can be present for the duration of the workout. I love this concept! It's literally the only opportunity I have to be in a room full of people with no technology or distractions. Anyways, 10/10 would recommend if you're looking for a chance to reset and better yourself!

3. Boxing

Let me be real for a second—I only tried this at first because I saw that ALL of my favorite Victoria's Secret Angels were doing this. When I went to my first class, my anxiety was at its peak. A few months later, I'm happy to report that I'm no longer taking medication! Boxing gave me the opportunity to put a problem on the bag (mentally) and (very much physically) show it what the Dirty South taught me! Work stress? Put it on the bag! Boyfriend left the seat up AGAIN?! Put it on the bag! Upset you don't look like a VS Angels? Put it on the bag until you do! A couple gyms I'd personally recommend are 9 Rounds and Title Boxing Club. Check these places out if you can find one near you!

4. Inclined Walking

Lastly, do not sleep on nice, brisk walk! Before I found a consistent work out, I started out by walking on an inclined treadmill for 30 minutes a day, and it helped me drop a couple pounds! Remember—any movement is better than no movement. If working out isn't your thing, but you'd like it to be, I personally recommend trying this out first. As you get more comfortable, start challenging yourself more and more. The workouts may not get easier, but you will get stronger!
