INSPIRIT CRYSTALS

A safe haven and welcoming space for all

Bells chime overhead as you pass under the store name: INSPIRIT CRYSTALS. The air is fragrant with the sweet, grounding scent of vanilla, sweetgrass, and sage. Painted emblems hover overhead, each representing one of the seven chakras: a rainbow of energy radiating your innermost dreams, emotions, and desires.

Inspirit Crystals has been a safe haven for people seeking spiritual refuge and guidance for nearly twenty years. The store’s history is a colorful labyrinth that mirrors the magic and connection of the people and products within.

In 2005, the shop first opened its doors in Hadley - created by Emily and Bucky Sparkle - as a retail store, yoga studio, and healing arts center. In 2009, the shop transitioned to its famous location in the heart of Northampton. Here it flourished into a destination for spiritual healing and peace. In 2012, the current owners, Rosie Goldstein and Bud Neiswender, purchased the business to continue the vision of providing tools for people on a journey in spiritual practice.

Inspirit Crystals has a welcoming atmosphere with a relaxing, educational experience for its customers. A variety of crystals are showcased with their associated properties and uses, including common, rare, tumbled, and raw types. Sections are organized by gemstones, jewelry, books, candles, incense and more. The decor incorporates natural elements such as wood and stone creating a sense of earthiness. Soft lighting and calming music present a peaceful atmosphere where customers are greeted by friendly staff who can answer questions and provide guidance on selecting the right item.

When you want to congratulate your friends due to a promotion or new house, you want to give them a gift that celebrates their success and creates positive energy in their life. If a loved one is undergoing grief, you care to give a gift that supports them and provides a lift. The crystals here all have intention and meaning so the staff can find something that aligns with your needs.

Inspirit Crystals chooses to work with independent artists who make items that reflect their own engagement of spirit and magic. Crystal grid boards crafted in West Virginia, candles from a three-generational woman-owned company in Wisconsin, and greeting cards from a collective in Portland are all creations here. International Fair Trade standards are also important. For the owners, finding these unique items is rewarding, and for store staff, it is a lot of fun to share with the community. A wide range of paths is reflected because it's important that people see themselves in items around the store.

Inspirit Crystals is a space where people gather. The owners want people to feel at home, finding things familiar and new, but it's the staff who are the shining stars. You can read the beautiful handmade signs describing information about the herbs, crystals, and tools, or you can ask questions. The staff will tell you a little bit about everything in the store, making it a great place to explore.

The shop is a place to form meaningful connections and receive encouragement on any journey. It is a place of love and positivity, where people are heard, seen, and supported. Inspirit Crystals is more than just a business—it's a beacon of hope and a source of inspiration for everyone who walks through its doors.
