Some time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, I went on a journey of trying foods that didn't include any use of animal products. I immediately fell in love with the creative flavors, the unique recipes, and the vast variety of menu items. It didn't take long or hesitation to become a vegan. I now make it a point to visit and support local vegan hot spots, and take note of the greatest menu items to share with family, framily and friends. Below are my fast favorites!
01 - Dharma Southern Kitchen
Southern comfort food at its veganized best! I mean, take plant based + south kitchen and you get sustainable glory! My go-to is the DFC Bowl, tastes like the most perfect fried chick'n, served over garlic-rosemary mashed taters, sweet corn, and mac n' cheese. (You read right - MAC N' CHEESE). Dharma is inside Market on South at 2601 East South Street.
02 - Valhalla Bakery
"Where your tastebuds go to heaven." Oh my goodness. You can't possibly go wrong with anything in the bakery case. All items are made with the freshest and most authentic ingredients, ensuring the highest quality. All items are egg free, dairy free, and vegan. Also inside Market on South.
03 - Winter Park Biscuit Company
Will make you a believer in vegan food - simply! Will you please order everything? This menu is solid! Find them at 3201 Corrine Drive.
04 - Kiko Japanese Cuisine
Two words - vegan sushi. Ask for the veggie menu, and you'll be faced with choosing between 20+ rolls. My favorite is the Spicy Yum Roll, made with spicy vegan crabmeat, avocado, and cucumber kimchi. 110 S. Semoran Blvd., Winter Park.
05 - Lineage
There are 3 locations around Orlando. The Vegan Cold Brew on tap is what dreams are made of. You're welcome!
