Columbia Children's Theatre was founded in 2005 as a nonprofit organization to serve a need in the Midlands and surrounding areas of Columbia for professional live theatre for young audiences. Each of their productions features professional directors, actors, writers and designers all focused on delivering a theatre experience for the entire family.
During typical years, the Theatre troupe offers four fully-produced musicals targeted to families and young audiences, including include matinee and evening performances. They also provide a training ground in theatre arts through their KidStage series. KidStage is an intensive, production-oriented "boot camp" designed to give young performers the opportunity to rehearse and perform in productions for live audiences.
In essence, this group is a great child-adult with whom to hang out online. They also provide periodic online classes.
