Wrap Up the Summer in Style

Staycations Perfect for an End-of-Summer Hurrah

Stunning pools, top-notch spas, dining destinations... lucky for us, we live in a resort destination. As summer wraps up (at least on the calendar), there is still time this month to take advantage of summer staycation deals. Ahh... relaxation.

Outta This World

No one in the Valley does events like the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. From holiday ice rinks, rides, and light displays in winter to elaborate themed summers, this ever-evolving destination offers a variety of fun for the entire family. This summer's theme is "Outta This World Summer #AtThePrincess."

Through Labor Day, there's an alien invasion that has taken over the resort. In addition to pools, a beach, water slides and dive-in movies, resort guests can join in the Area 51 glow-in-the-dark laser tag, the Lunar Leap, a moon maze, and more. On Friday and Saturday nights there's a Galactic Glo party at the Sonoran Splash pool, and a fireworks display every Saturday.

And of course, there's an award-winning spa and award-winning restaurants. Through Labor Day, Arizona residents enjoy 35% off their stay. There's also a "Stay Close Offer" where ever second night is complementary; and a Sip, Savor & Space Package.

Refreshed Destination

The Frank Lloyd Wright-influenced Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Resort recently revealed its 15-month property-wide transformation, and while the destination was a favorite before, now there's even more to see and experience. There's the outdoor Spire Bar, the new Twist Tower Waterslide and children's splash pad, and the new dining option Renata's Hearth, as well as two 18-hole championship golf courses, tennis courts, pickleball courts, a spa, and more.

Current specials include the "A Summer to Remember" package, which includes free self-parking, plus a $100 per night resort credit to be used towards cabana rentals, dining, spa treatments, or apparel and resort gifts.

Want to enjoy the fun but can't get away for an overnight? There are also day passes available for the Paradise Pool (home of The Twist waterslide).

Relax & Unwind

Located at the foot of Camelback Mountain, Royal Palms Resort and Spa is known for its romantic grounds. Combining the graciousness and sophistication of a Mediterranean villa with the intimacy and privacy of a secluded retreat, this resort features the award-winning T. Cook's restaurant, the Mix Up Bar, a spa, pool, and more—as well as a live summer music series on the last Friday of every month through August 27.

Through Sept. 6, enjoy the Fee Free Summer Package, with rates beginning at just $259++ per night (two-night minimum stay), complimentary parking, resort, and pet fees. There's also a Royal Romance Package, which includes rates from $334++ per night, breakfast for two, one-time $100 F&B credit to T. Cook's, a rose petal turndown, and a late check-out.
