10oz Ground Pork
1 yellow onion
1/2 grated garlic clove
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp smoked paprika
2 slices Smoked Gouda
Salt
Sweat half a diced onion in a large skillet. While cooking in a large bowl, combine pork, minced garlic, paprika, sugar, and salt. Add the onion to bowl. Form into two patties, each slightly wider than a burger bun. Heat a large drizzle of olive oil in pan where onions were cooking. Add patties and cook until browned and cooked through, 4-7 minutes per side. Last minute cooking top with a slice of Gouda.; cover pan until cheese melts.
Toast buns (tip: for a deeper flavor toast in the pan used for the patties), wrap in butter lettuce, add whatever condiments you desire.
