Small Town Sizzle

When the going gets tough we learn a lot about ourselves; how strong we are, what our limitations are, and just how far we can be pushed. This past year has been far from easy for most businesses as well as people. Instead of giving up on his dreams and letting Covid 19 take over his passion for cooking, chef Steve Haug opened an awe-inspiring new restaurant right here in Pearland. Magnolia Cajun Comfort is in fact a pandemic born restaurant. Rising from the ashes of the nation wide shut down, Magnolia Cajun Comfort proudly stands as a community jewel and represents the true meaning of the American dream. Chef Steve did not let a pandemic deter him from stepping out on a whim and opening Pearland’s newest family cookin’ hotspot. This new local eatery focuses on Cajun as well as comfort food while having a cozy family friendly environment. 

The restaurant business is no new endeavor for chef Steve. Steve has been in the food industry for 18 years now and has worked at a myriad amount of fine dining establishments, including Pearland’s own Grazias Italian Kitchen. After being hit hard from the pandemic in March of 2020, chef Steve got inspired by his Cajun fiancé as well as the small-town charm of this little town and decided to open up his dream restaurant. Chef Steve ensures customers that Magnolia Cajun Comfort is focused on “ great food, great service, and building relationships” with the community. Although building relationships with the community is important for Magnolia, so is giving back to the community. Chef Steve and his team are avid philanthropist in the community and are constantly looking for different ways to give back. One way Chef Steve and his team give back to the community is by donating $5 from every entree to the Pearland Neighborhood Center’s food bank. Passionately prepared Cajun cooking is not the only focus for Magnolia, but so is being a proud member of the community. 

When others said it was impossible chef Steve and his team said otherwise. Whether you’ve ordered the blackened fish or the shrimp scampi and scallops, you will taste the delectable blend of Cajun spices paired with the freshest ingredients. Magnolia is bringing big & bold flavor to this small town one bite at a time.
