GJL: How long have you lived in GJ?
Mario: I moved to Grand Junction in July of 2013. I originally lived in Hotchkiss where I graduated high school in 1996. Over the course of 17 years, I lived in California, Japan, Virginia, and Denver.
GJL: When did you start Landmark Staffing?
Mario: I started Landmark in March of 2016. I have worked in the Recruiting and Staffing business since 2004. I was also a recruiter in the USMC for two years prior to starting my career in staffing.
GJL: How many years did you serve in the United States Marine Corps?
Mario: I served in the USMC from 1996 - 2004
GJL: What is Landmark Staffing's main goal?
Mario: We have built our reputation by specializing in placement for highly skilled candidates.
GJL: What else do you love about this area?
Mario: I love Grand Junction for all of the great things to do here; outdoor recreation especially. I love having my business in Grand Junction. This is a great market and the local businesses here are awesome to work with as clients. This is a fantastic town to have a business in.
GJL: How many “hole-in-one” shots have you hit? (Mario is an avid golfer)
Mario: I've had one hole-in-one after playing golf for 22 years. It was at Redlands Mesa Golf Course on Hole 12 in November of 2018.
GJL: What do you want our community to know about you?
Mario: I would like them to know that I have been married to my wife for over 15 years, have a 13-year-old son, and three dachshunds. Landmark Staffing is a business that I opened when I saw the need for a different kind of staffing agency, not just another temp company. I am always donating to charities when it comes to golf tourneys and I enjoy helping people get their foot in the door with a new job and helping businesses find the right candidates to fill roles for their company.
