A Home for Thanksgiving

There is nothing better than being in a lovely home for the holidays!  If you're not already living in your special home, there is still enough time to move into this one before the holidays.  Originally built in 1990 at 5400 Colony Road in South Park, this luxury home has been redesigned, repurposed and rebuilt in a most discerning fashion by the dream team at Pfahl Architects.  Working as design architects and general contractors, Kevin, Susan and Carly Pfahl have created the ultimate dream home.

Every surface and feature in this home showcases elegant design and superior quality.  White oak select hardwood flooring and dazzling New York contemporary light fixtures thrill the senses as you enter each room with beautiful solid core door designs and Emtek hardware.  The house was completely reconfigured, including the addition of 'walls of glass' to create an open house concept, allowing light and the outdoors into the inside of the home with new windows and glass sliders.

As soon as you enter, you can enjoy the warmth from the Mezzo heat and glo fireplace and exceptionally rare Amazonite Quartzite in the living room.  The designer kitchen with oversized appliances anchors the epicenter of it all.

The main level primary suite is tucked away with its own fireplace, exquisite closet, dressing room, spa-like bath, and personal access to the backyard oasis.  Italian made porcelain tiles are installed throughout the baths and two laundry rooms with Electrolux washers and dryers make your chores a pleasure.

The mature backdrop of trees in the backyard offers privacy and unparalleled aesthetics to the heated pool with new pool plumbing and a 10-person spa.  Multiple glass sliders open from the house to the outdoors creating the ultimate indoor/outdoor experience.

Your entertaining options are endless!  On the second level, enjoy billiards in the game room or retreat to the private viewing room with a custom wet bar.

There is no shortage of home office space either.  There is a premium office with its own unique fireplace on the main floor and a bright and cheery office on the 2nd floor.

Each room has its own independently controlled in-ceiling speaker system and there is a whole house interior security system.

New garage doors have been installed along with new outdoor lighting, a brand-new irrigation system and new landscaping completes enhancements to the exterior.   A new HVAC unit was added, and the existing units were refurbished.  A new driveway, new exterior concrete, Belgian pavers installed on the driveway all lead up to the home with a newly designed pedestrian walkway.  A new heavy-duty gate, new USA made outdoor lanterns and new 24/7 surveillance cameras around the house keep the house secure.
