The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall

What was once a church is now home to the most acoustically stunning and intimate performance hall in North Florida.

Art Garfunkel, one-half of the iconic folk duo Simon & Garfunkel, is on stage and no more than 50 feet from you. He sees you singing along to “Bridge over Troubled Water” and he smiles. You and Art Garfunkel share a moment that can only happen at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. Originally constructed as a church, the space was repurposed in 2011 when St. Johns County moved to renovate the building into a state-of-the-art indoor performing arts venue. Operated, programmed and staffed by the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division, the Concert Hall has grown from hosting 30 events to over 100 concerts and community events every year. Its notoriety as a must-play venue has exploded among artists, resulting in repeat appearances by award-winning performers such as Graham Nash, Lucinda Williams, Taj Mahal, the Indigo Girls, Richard Marx, Steve Earle, the Psychedelic Furs, David Crosby and more. The Concert Hall is as versatile in setting as it is in programming. Able to transform from a 450-seated theatre to a 900-person standing room only hall, patrons can enjoy stand-up comedy one night and a rollicking bluegrass concert the next. Tucked between the neighborhoods of Ponte Vedra and Jacksonville Beach on A1A, the Concert Hall serves as both a live music destination and a community space. On just about any given night, you can find a concert, a live theater production, a fundraiser or a wedding taking place at 1050 North A1A, making it a vital component to building community and providing entertainment to North Florida.
