Did you know that you only have 7 seconds to make a strong first impression?
Brain activity actually changes in response to how trustworthy a person looks, based solely on a fleeting look at their face.
After weeks of social isolating and virtual meetings, what can we do to make an exceptional first impression?
Enter former high-tech executive and Laguna Niguel resident Anne Wilke.
Her own personal color analysis through London-based House of Colour was a life-changing experience and motivated Wilke to become California’s first franchisee of the innovative color analysis process.
Anne says clients often tell her that she’s simplified their mornings. By knowing the right tools - your personal colors and clothing personality - getting dressed for any occasion is easier and less stressful.
And as the old adage says, “When you look good you feel good!”
House of Colour is based on the science of color and features Color Analysis and Personal Style sessions for both men and women.
A Color Analysis consultation is a 2-3 hour service that identifies an individual’s most complimentary colors. Participants leave with a personalized palette of colors and learn corresponding shades of makeup in what they call the 90 Second Makeup miracle.
Personal Style sessions consider an individual’s body architecture and personality to help determine the most flattering clothing style, accessories, patterns and textures. Best of all, these timeless guidelines apply as fashion trends fluctuate.
Anne says the timing is perfect to transform our wardrobes as we transition from home isolation to being back in the world. Clothing carries a symbolic meaning and can prime our brain to behave in ways consistent with that meaning.
Wilke and her husband have lived in Laguna Niguel for 32 years where they’ve raised two children. Her family was among the first members of Faith Episcopal Church in Laguna Niguel where she currently serves as Bishop’s Warden.
