Day 2
After you and your girls have driven through the Red Rocks, it’s time to get around town via Segways. Sedona Segway Tours offers a fun way to see the awe-inspiring view. Slide Rock State Park was named one of the top 10 must-see swimming holes in the United States by the Travel Chanel. Within the canyon is a half mile of swimming areas and an area you can slide down through the canyon like a water ride. Experience a rush that’s faster than a lazy river as the decline from top to bottom is 7%. A must on the to-do list!
Devil’s Bridge Trail
Devil’s Bridge is the largest natural sandstone arch in the area per the USDA Forest Service. If you read online reviews of Devil’s Hike, it seems like no problem! For those scared of heights, it is breathtakingly, beautifully high! It’s a hike of less than a mile each way from parking your car to get to the arch area. Then, a 400-foot climb to the top of the trailhead elevation of 4,600 feet. You can walk over the arch once you get to the top. This may be the time when you need a girlfriend's encouragement to make it to the top!
Day 3
Taking a road trip to Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend by tour service is the easiest route. Horseshoe Bend is actually part of the Colorado River, aptly named because it is shaped like a horseshoe. To access it, park and take a short walk to the cliff that overlooks it, a jaw-droppingly beautiful view with colors that light up in the water from your perch high above.
Next, take a short drive to Antelope Canyon with Navajo Tours. It's a 10-minute or so drive in what feels like the middle of nowhere in open-air buses with sand in the wind. Suddenly at the end of your drive, the view turns into the most magnificent canyon. The Navajo guides ask that you take photographs on the way through the canyon, but on the way back no photos so that visitors can enjoy the canyon fully.
