Lisa Cather, aka The Chaos Ninja, is a wizard at helping people live a more clutter-free life. Since starting her company she’s worked mainly with families who need help implementing processes that will have lasting results.
“I’m always very real with them," she says. "This isn’t me coming in and fixing something. This is you and your family, including little kids, learning how to do things differently as a group. I think it means something to people that I’m truly interested in their long-term happiness.”
Lisa believes her approach sets her apart from others in the field. “I’m not just going in and putting a band-aid on something. I try to break down how and why it’s happening, and what we can do to make it better.”
She’s also earned the gratitude of people whose homes are filled with the belongings of deceased parents or aging relatives who’ve downsized. “It can create emotional paralysis. I help them break it down by differentiating between things with sentimental value, and the items that can go to a donation facility. I remind them that they’re making someone else’s life better.”
Lisa shares that the emotional reward for what she does is high. “It’s a beautiful thing to bring that level of relief to somebody’s life. It’s what drives me.”
