For North Augusta native Zaccheus Miles, connecting people and showcasing their talents has always come naturally. Now, creating network connections and experiences for individuals and businesses in the global luxury industry is what he does for a career. “I started out as a fashion designer, designing bow ties in the Augusta area,” shares Zaccheus. “I also produced fashion shows to highlight other designers and local boutiques in the area to give them a platform to showcase their talents. It started with the ZM Fashion Trunk Show in 2012. Then, we produced Augusta Fashion Week where we brought in other designers from our cities across the country, like Atlanta, Miami, Jacksonville, and Nashville, to showcase their talent.”
“I’ve always felt good and felt purpose when I would help people connect to what they needed to be successful in their businesses and careers. So, I decided to go fully into the public relations world,” shares Zaccheus. “I'm a problem solver by nature. So, if I can find something that's going to help a person, their brand, or their business advance to the next level, it just brings a whole level of joy being able to see that success.”
Currently under the umbrella of ZMG Global, Zaccheus works out of Dallas and Augusta to produce events and serve as an executive publicist for clients who include celebrities, social media influencers, and luxury brands from all around the world. Recently, he orchestrated the Jo Malone London grand opening at Dillard’s of Augusta. “I really want people to know that there is a luxury market in Augusta,” says Zaccheus, “and there are people like myself who work in the luxury market locally who are from this area.”
