meet Paul at Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage

I'm the State Park Service's historian at Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage State Historic Sites in Somerville, New Jersey. Old Dutch Parsonage is the historic home of Rev. Jacob Rutsen Hardenbergh, founder and first president of Queen's College, today Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Wallace House served as Gen. Washington's winter headquarters during the Revolutionary War's 1778-79 Middlebrook Cantonment. The State Park Service preserves and interprets Wallace House & Old Dutch Parsonage State Historic Sites with support from the nonprofit Wallace House and Old Dutch Parsonage Association.
