Flatiron Vista Lives Up to its Multiple Muses

Most people might not guess that Flatiron Vista, Boulder’s newly conceptualized boutique collection of six residences, represented by the inimitable Patrick Brown Group, are not just named after the Flatirons.

Yes, each residence is as impressive as the Flatirons themselves, with a sprawling unobstructed view of the Front Range devoted to each unit and private outdoor space on every level to soak in the scenery. But the Flatiron name is also a nod to the site, an origin story revealed to us by two key players, Jim Tyrrell with 2150 Folsom, LLC and the talented architects at Sopher Sparn.

The project is built on a unique wedge-shaped lot reminiscent of the Flatiron Building site in New York City. The triangular building, which has been called “one of the world’s most iconic skyscrapers and a quintessential symbol of NYC,” is also an inspiration for the name “Flatiron Vista.” Unlike in NYC, where the urban grid is intersected by a road (Broadway) to create the distinctive shape, Flatiron Vista’s special shape is made when the grid of the city is intersected by the Boulder and White Rock Ditch creating a lovely backyard water element for each unit. Flatiron Vista residences are located in a prime Boulder lot surrounded by Pine St., Folsom St. and Spruce St., moments away from Boulder’s downtown and outdoor escapes.

Flatiron Vista will likely live up to its muse and become an iconic element near the historic Whittier neighborhood. With its modern, mixed-materials aesthetic, including a facade that combines metal siding, stucco and cedar, each of the six homes has a magnetic curb appeal. Oh, and maybe it is also the landscaped grounds and forecourt gardens that rival the natural imagery that abounds.

Upon entering each private entrance, the clean lines, modern finishes and natural light takes over the senses. The architects at Sopher Sparn conceptualized smart floor plans with logical progression and “daylighting” (a technique that efficiently brings natural light into your home, thereby saving energy) thanks to walls of windows.

The six bespoke three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom homes are built by Rob Luckett Builders, who have been building high-end custom homes on Boulder’s premier sites since 1988. Carefully constructed with great attention to detail, these finely crafted homes span from 1,979 to 3,453 square feet with an intentional single-family-home feel. A modern chef’s kitchen stands by homey and inviting living and dining areas, while large terraces make open-air dining irresistible. Serene bedrooms pair with spa-inspired bathrooms and a top-floor entertainer’s haven with wet bars also open to additional outdoor terraces. Throughout the interiors, hardwood floors set the stage crowned by tall ceilings that add a bright and airy atmosphere that mirrors the views from the outdoor spaces.

“I love that each unit has private outdoor spaces on every level,” says Patrick Brown, a Compass Boulder founding agent and expert in luxury homes, design and development. “With the view of the Flatirons, we never want the residents to forget or take for granted where they are living.”

Luckily, here in Boulder, we live close to where there’s always something to do whether you’re taking a hike around historic Pearl Street Mall or in the many nature trails that traverse around town. The community’s laid-back lifestyle fosters unabandoned adventure and fun. So why not immerse yourself in it at Flatiron Vista? Even if you have a lock-and-leave lifestyle to pursue adventures in other locales, these low-maintenance townhomes are the perfect place to call home.
