About Us

Amy V. Cofield, a South Carolina native, holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in education from the University of South Carolina. After several years of distinguished service as a teacher in Anderson, South Carolina, Amy transitioned to the legal profession in 1987, and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1990. Post-law school, Amy embarked on her legal career in private practice alongside her father, C. Thomas Cofield, III, in Anderson, SC. Her practice areas encompassed real estate, workers' compensation, and probate matters. Even after her father's passing in 1994, Amy continued her commitment to the legal field, where she proudly owned and operated the first “Woman Owned” law firm in Anderson. Married to Jimmy Terrapin, Amy is the proud mother of two sons, Kessler and Tommy, and has three step-sons, Aaron, Brett, and Coleman.
