About Us
DBS started in February 2012 with Bonnie Sundberg, a Duluth kid who grew up on a small hobby farm surrounded by family in the construction trades. She opened the company with her husband and mentor, Dave. Today she is a licensed contractor in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, running a family-owned crew that has helped more than 4,300 customers. The specialty is the part of the house most people would rather not think about. DBS calls itself the "All Things Basementy" expert: foundation repair with wall anchors, piers and wall straightening; basement waterproofing with French drains, sump pumps, battery backups and the CleanSpace wall vapor barrier; crawl space encapsulation; and PolyLevel injection to lift sunken driveways, sidewalks and slabs. Up top, BPI-certified installers handle attic and wall insulation, spray foam, air sealing and ice dam prevention. The company motto is "Thumbs Up for Integrity," and its core values are short enough to fit on a sticky note: positive, teamwork, humble. DBS is a Supportworks certified contractor with a BBB A+ rating, and its permanent repair systems carry transferable warranties, some running up to 75 years. Maple Grove homeowners are served from the Twin Cities office in Eden Prairie at (763) 634-8384. The Duluth headquarters is at 5116 Jean Duluth Road, (218) 525-0720. Learn more at dbsrepair.com.
