About Us
Garrison Brothers Distillery is a working farm and ranch in Hye, Texas, where a tight‑knit crew turns Hill Country grain and fierce summer heat into bold bourbon. Founded in 2006, we earned the first legal bourbon distiller’s permit in state history and released Texas’ inaugural bourbon in 2010. Every bottle begins with a sweet mash milled, cooked, and distilled on site, then ages through multiple “Texas seasons” that drive deep caramel and pecan notes into new white‑oak barrels. We are “a family of bourbon makers and bourbon lovers, fully committed to proving that the finest bourbon whiskey on the planet will be born in the Texas Hill Country”—a conviction that guides every early‑morning grain haul and late‑night barrel check. Hard work, integrity, hospitality, and respect for the land shape both the spirit and the experience. Community runs the show: more than 15,000 fans wait to hand‑dip bottles in crimson wax, and limited editions like Cowboy Bourbon often sell out within hours. Visitors to 1827 Hye‑Albert Road stroll barrel barns, breathe in the still house, and finish under live oaks with a tasting that feels like home. From flagship Small Batch to celebrated releases such as Balmorhea and Guadalupe, each expression carries the stamp of one place, one team, and one relentless Texas climate. If you think whiskey should come with backbone and a handshake, pull up a chair—the next legendary Hill Country story is about to be poured.
