Initiating Protection was founded to help small and mid-sized businesses with legal brand protection. We understand that every client is unique and we tailor solutions to meet your specific needs. Richard Rimer, Managing Partner, is a Brand Protection Lawyer. For the majority of his career, he worked as a Trademark Attorney primarily representing large companies. It was from this perspective that he first became aware of the underrepresentation of small companies. As he defended his clients, small companies were often unrepresented on the other side. So many of these companies said the same four words to Richard: “But I didn’t know.” These four words lit a fire in Richard which led to him founding a firm that is dedicated to protecting the brands of smaller businesses.
