J&K Cabinetry has been supplying kitchens and baths since 2003, and its showroom on Elm Creek Boulevard is the company's Twin Cities home base. The idea from day one: give builders and remodelers solid cabinetry at prices that don't make a project budget flinch. Today J&K runs showrooms and warehouses in nine metro areas, from Austin and Denver to Nashville and Los Angeles, with more than 300,000 square feet of warehouse space between them. The details are what contractors notice. Every cabinet is solid birch and plywood, never MDF, HDF or particle board. Soft-close hinges, dovetail drawers and full-extension undermount slides come standard instead of as upgrades. There are 18-plus door colors, and a few read like a coffee shop menu: Espresso, Mocha Glazed, Creme Glazed, Butterscotch and Java Coffee Shaker, with Sage, Naval, Dove and Greige for everyone else. Each color runs to roughly 500 SKUs. Orders average a five-to-seven-day lead time, assembled cabinets included, and there is no minimum order in the Minneapolis market. J&K is a wholesaler built for contractors, builders, remodelers and designers. The team offers design consultations and can connect clients with installers who know the product.
