At Kingdom Coffee on Main Street in Maple Grove, every cup starts with a story that begins at the farm. The roastery-cafe roasts its coffee in house from high-quality green beans and builds its menu around coffee traditions from around the world: a flat white the way they make it in Australia, a bright, fruit-forward pour from Ethiopia, and a warm conversation with a barista who knows your name. The long-term goal is to trade directly with family farms, raising their standard of living and showcasing their unique coffees. The food gets the same care. Signature breakfast sandwiches are made with organic, cage-free eggs cooked in avocado oil and topped with house-made sauces crafted with olive oil, never seed oils. Pastries come from Two Daughters Bakery, house syrups use less sugar, tea lattes get their color from superfoods instead of artificial dyes, and there are plenty of gluten-free and vegan choices. Seasonal drinks like the Autumn Joy's Latte and Pumpkin Cheesecake Cold Brew keep regulars coming back. A portion of bean sales supports Filtered Hope, a barista-training and life-skills program for young adults who have aged out of orphanages.
