A Family Owned, Boutique Winery. We began with a passion for fine wine, optimism for the potential of Santa Barbara County viticulture, and a deep appreciation for family, friends and living the highest quality of life imaginable. The McKinney Story This small family of three made their dreams a reality when they moved to the Santa Ynez Valley in 1994, long before most of today’s vineyards had even been planted, and before the iconic movie Sideways was filmed. Little did they know then, the alluring pull of vines and fine wine would soon lead them into the wine industry. A SY native, Matt’s passion for wine began in college going wine tasting in his hometown with friends. His travels abroad, and time spent living in Greece and Italy during his pro-volleyball career, further opened his mind and senses to the vast, complex, and heart-warming world of wine.
