About Us
McKinney Repertory Theatre (MRT) is the official nonprofit community theatre of McKinney. We take pride in being a high-quality, family-friendly community theatre that holds itself to professional standards. MRT was started in 2003 and has been operating in historic downtown for twenty years. The main mission and purpose of McKinney Repertory Theatre is to present live theatrical productions for the cultural education, entertainment, and inspiration of our community. Our secondary mission is to serve our community by advancing the general level of culture in the field of dramatic arts by establishing and maintaining a theater company for the productions of plays, musicals, dramas, comedies, shows, exhibitions, dramatic arts, and educational programs. We do this by producing a five (5) show season on the main stage of McKinney Performing Arts Center each year as well as producing other community programs.
