About Us
Nupa brings a family-run Greek kitchen from Rochester to The Village at Arbor Lakes. The family has been running Nupa since 2009, and owner Theodore Paizis opened the Maple Grove spot on Elm Creek Boulevard in 2025, joining two sister restaurants in Rochester. The house rule is to make it from scratch. About 98 percent of what lands on the table is made or prepared in house, from the dressings and marinades to the soups, including avgolemono, the classic Greek lemon, chicken and rice soup, and a rotating soup of the day. Start with hummus and the house-made spicy feta dip, or melitzanosalata, a fire-roasted eggplant dip with garlic, lemon and tahini. Then go for a gyro, a chargrilled steak salad or a horiatiki, the traditional Greek salad made without lettuce. Florettas are fried handheld pita pies filled with spicy gyro or spicy chicken. And the order a table of friends will talk about later: Alexi's Saganaki, kasseri cheese flamed with brandy and served with pita. The menu is naturally gluten-free, with plenty for vegans and vegetarians. Guests order at the counter, food comes to the table, and a small bar pours beer and wine. Dine in, take out, order online or get delivery, and the loyalty program rewards repeat visits. Find Nupa at 11850 Elm Creek Blvd. N in Maple Grove, call (763) 450-6872, or order at eatnupa.com.
