He trained at Penn State, Wake Forest, the University of Florida-Jacksonville, and Swedish Heart & Vascular Institute, gaining extensive expertise in minimally invasive cardiac procedures. Previously, he served as Assistant Director of the Structural Heart Center at Carilion Clinic and Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine before joining Cardiac Solutions in 2021 to expand cardiac services in Phoenix. Dr. Sharma performs advanced interventional procedures, including TAVR, MitraClip, WATCHMAN, PFO closure, and ASD closure. His philosophy centers on compassionate care and cutting-edge, evidence-based treatments. A recognized leader in his field, Dr. Sharma is a procedural proctor training physicians on structural heart devices, a national committee member for SCAI, and an editorial board member for multiple cardiology journals.
