About Us

Serenity HospiceCare in Park Hills was established in 1989 by a group of volunteers in the Parkland who saw a need for hospice in the area and wanted to serve that need with compassion and dignity for our patients and their families. We continue this legacy today whether someone has two weeks, six months or longer to live. Serenity HospiceCare is your hometown hospice and is operated by a board of directors that is made up of people who live, work and worship right here in the counties that we serve. Serenity HospiceCare has always been an independent, non-profit hospice company. We are not affiliated with a particular hospital or healthcare system. The decisions for your loved one are made right here by our team of end-of-life specialists. Serenity HospiceCare has over 45 employees including Dr. Rustico Ramos, Medical Director; Karen Rose, Nurse Practitioner; and Robyn Nagel, Executive Director Our patients are cared for by an amazing team of RN’s, LPN’s, CNA’s, Chaplain, Social Workers, and Volunteers. We also have full-time Music Therapist, which is something that sets us apart from other Hospice companies. Another thing that sets us apart, when it’s known that a patient is in the actively dying process, a Serenity HospiceCare staff member stays with the patient 24 hours a day whether they are at home or in a facility. We are available 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week.
