Dr. Eric Swanson, a cosmetic surgeon in private practice in Leawood, Kansas, is an advocate for the application of the scientific method to cosmetic surgery, an approach known as evidence-based medicine. His publications have helped usher in a new age of scientific evaluation of cosmetic surgery. Dr. Swanson has been a frequent presenter and invited faculty member at the national meetings of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
